Local Government Forms

Local Government Decisions (see Section 3.4 in the Boys State Handbook for additional information)

• The clerk/secretary and the chairman/mayor/chief executive/presiding officer should create an agenda prior to the meeting. This should be posted for all citizens to view.
• Anyone can write an Ordinance/Resolution for discussion at the meeting.
• The clerk/secretary should take minutes during the meeting.

• The Cost Estimate Sheet shows costs of common items.
• The Cost Estimate Request can be filled out to request the price of any item not listed on the Cost Estimate Sheet.
• The Eminent Domain form must be completed for governing bodies to acquire land that they do not own.
• Purchase Order Form to authorize purchases for governing bodies.

• Construction Permit – The Banking Center may need additional documentation before approving the construction:
  • Price Estimate Sheet if the item is not on the Cost Estimate Sheet
  • Ordinance/Resolution authorizing the item’s purchase/construction
  • A map showing the location of the construction
  • Eminent Domain Form if you don’t own the property
